LG has recently launched G5, the LG’s flagship of this year. Compared to the other vendors this year LG has come out with a different idea called modular design, let me explain what is this modular design means, LG G5’s lower part can be removed with the battery and you can attach different components like (currently two gadgets available which are made by LG) Hi-Fi audio gadget and extra battery pack with camera controls to the back to get more use out of G5, according to LG, they will release more attachable modular gadgets soon for G5.

Now let’s get in to the geeky stuff, as you can see in the below picture, I have created an infographic to demonstrate the LG’s inside components (with the help of iFixit). You can see the Snapdragon 820 SoC in left side of the infographic picture, it’s coupled with Samsung’s K3RG2G20BM-MGCJ 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM as a one chip (red big box), above that you can see the Samsung’s 32GB KLUBG4G1CE-B0B1 MLC Universal Flash Storage 2.0 which is marked with orange big box, yellow colour little box is the NXP 54802 NFC Controller, the small chip marked in light blue is the Analogix SlimPort ANX7816 Ultra-HD Transmitter, dark blue box is the Analogix SlimPort ANX7418 USB-C Switch/Controller, magenta coloured chip is the Qualcomm WSA8815 Audio Codec and the bottom you can see the Qualcomm SMB1350 Quick Charge 3.0 IC which is coloured in green. Now let’s go the right side of the infographic picture, at the bottom it’s Broadcom BCM43455 5G Wi-Fi Combo Chip in red, above that Qualcomm PMI8996 Power Management IC in magenta and blue box is also Qualcomm PM8996 Power Management IC (two power management IC’s), Avago ACPM-7788 Multiband Multimode Power Amplifier in yellow, Qualcomm WTR3925 LTE Transceiver in orange, Skyworks 77814-11 LTE Power Amplifier Module in green and Skyworks SKY13560 RF Switch in light blue.
